
Community Futures Capital Region is a community driven, non-profit organization that is guided by a volunteer Board of Directors. The Board is made up of local business people who bring extensive knowledge and experience of the area’s economy. Our Board members represent our region’s population and main economic sectors. The role of the Board is to establish our organization’s priorities, monitor our performance, and be accountable to key stakeholders, such as local, provincial and federal governments.

Board Criteria
Board Appointment
The rules governing membership of the Board and the term of office are specified in the Articles of Association and the Board Policy governing the conduct of the Board.
Board members should represent a specific area within the CFCR service region. Selection is based on an in-depth knowledge of the demographic, business and social needs of the area.
Vacancies will be advertised in the local media in the area where the vacancy occurs.
Prospective Board members are asked to complete an application form or send a letter, resume and references. The Board will select members from all of the applications that are received. Upon acceptance the prospective board member will also be asked to provide an RCMP (or equivalent) security clearance letter (vulnerable sector).
